THE ATTENDANT

In the third in a series of projects re-enacting the Will of Alexander Chalmers, the collection of the Chalmers Bequest will temporarily be removed from storage to the exhibition gallery at the Hackney Museum.

Clauses to be executed:

6. One guinea for the Collection Attendant
8. Four pounds for cleaning glasses only and touching up frames;
9. Two pounds ten shillings to Librarian to provide brief descriptive labels of the objects exhibited in large print;

-will act as Collection Attendants.

(8) Matthew Thomson and Alan Brooks will stand-in for the undesignated manual or technical workers, and will undertake the transfer of the collection form storage and ready it for display.

(9) Hayley Newman wil stand-in for the Librarian and will undertake to label and descrbe the artworks

Since 2000 Elizabeth Price has been working to re-enact each of the clauses of Chalmers' Will. THis project will see the enactment of clauses 6,8, & 9. Clauses 2 & 10 were undertaken in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
